Dulcinea
By Vivianne Carey
Dulcinea is an (unfinished) piece that I created this summer in a workshop with Lisa Clague. It is a ceramic female figure with a crown (Dulcinea was Don Quixote’s Lady) of roses. She is adorned with various metal ornamental features representing delicate femininity as well as a fierceness represented by the chain of mail she wears under her crown and her steel nail bracelet.
