Jane Doe Series: Against their Will, no’s. 5-7

My subject matter is intensely  introspective as it relates to carnality and consent. It is especially significant today as more women are speaking their truths and taking legal action against their perpetrators. In these seven panels, or altars, I am focusing on unidentified victims, the spiritual aspect of carnality, and the violation of something holy. 

Each group in this series contain a crown-like chastity belt on a ornamental shelf, a child’s rag doll with a bucket or bag over her head on a orate stand and a golden framed photograph of an unidentifiable female.

Recently, I have added a series of “dummy heads “with strings like a puppet that represent  empowered yet controlled by a string.
