About Jan Scott
As a clay artist, I am most intrigued by process in my art. This enthusiasm for exploring techniques in my craft keeps the work I produce fresh and varied for me. I enjoy hand-building and using the wheel to produce ceramic art. My work flows between making functional ceramic dinnerware and sculptures, including decorative pieces, animals, and portrait art. The solace of my studio and the surrounding pasture give me my inspiration.
My Studio
My studio is in a rustic 1940’s barn in the pasture behind our house. What had been horse stalls and tack room was renovated for my work area and gallery. I also display my pottery in the barn breezeway.
