Chapel Perilous

My goal for this project is to encourage discussion about identity. The ways in which our pasts have shaped us, both the negatives and positives, and how they become interwoven into a beautifully complex present self. Each person featured in these paintings feels differently about their identity, whether they struggle to reinvent themselves, struggle to define themselves, or reflect on past defining features. Each journey is important, and I want to represent those paths through this work.
